Convo with a Douchebag, Williamsburg

We get on line outside The Woods, a dance bar described to me as "a little piece of Murray Hill in Williamsburg." Immediately, some spiky-haired but otherwise decent looking Douchebag starts talking to me.

"So, do you think two people should have a conversation before they have sex?" He asks.

I awkwardly half-smile, don't reply, and go to the front of the line where a friend is trying to convince the bouncer that we already have friends inside.

He asks me again, and for some reason the bouncer splits the line in two, and my friends and I are at the beginning of a new line, with Douchebag next to me. They let him and his line in first.

I turn to my cousin, "is this what Auschwitz was like?"

We get inside. Douchebag walks right up to me.

"So really, do you think two people should have a conversation before they have sex?"
"Does this work for you?" I reply.
"I'm not trying to have sex with you."
"I'm not worried."
"And what do you think of the sound? Do you think the volume is a good level for having a conversation?"

Seriously, what the FUCK was this guy talking about and getting at??

"it's fine." Where the hell is my damn drink?!?
"Are you here to DANCE?" When he says the word "dance," he makes fists, holds them close to his ears, pulls his elbows in, and awkwardly jerks his body about as if to model what he thinks dancing is. His interpretive dance of the word "dance" suggests total contempt for dancing, and people who do it. Or he was having a seizure.
"Yes, I'm here to DANCE.". I mockingly reenact his spastic movement.
"Men only dance to get laid or make money." This must have made sense to Douchebag somehow.
"What is your background? Only White guys say shit like that."
"Of COURSE, I am White and from AFFLUENCE."

Drink arrives, not a moment too soon.

Did he pronounce "affluence" with emphasis on the "flu"? Like, "af-FLU-ence?" Because that shit is so hott.

Aware you sure the music wasn't too loud, and you misheard him when he said "effluence"?
