Inside on a Beautiful Saturday Afternoon....

... and I'm crafting. I did go to a great little restaurant called Freeman Alley, on the alley with the same name, close to Chinatown, with Rik, his sister and cousin. It was like a speakeasy! Gorgeous place, delicious food.

And now I'm crafting... working on the mermaid outfit, AND starting a new knitting project. It's the Ballet T-shirt from Loop-d-Loop. I had to pause the Yoke Vest because I don't understand the next row. I'm going to ask my Knitting Genius colleague, Marsha, to help me after regents exams are graded. Most of the new techniques I'm picking up are from Elann's Knitting Help, which has VERY easy-to-follow videos for beginning knitters.


On another note, I am finally wearing the halter I crocheted from Interweave Press' crochet magazine from last summer! The yarn is Katia Idea Jeans. Instead of crocheting in the round, I crocheted back and forth, and sewed it up the back with a pretty ribbon.
